About Us
Established in Atlanta, Ga in 1986, Connections started as a conference/convention-planning firm with emphasis on citywide events.
In 1991, the Atlanta Braves attracted nationwide attention going from the "worst to first" baseball team in the National League. With out-of-towners now wanting to come to Atlanta to cheer on their new favorite team, Connections saw opportunity to put together packages that included World Series tickets and hotel reservations at an attractive rate. As the team's success continued throughout the years, fans requested the same affordable ticket packages for the regular season games. Connections now sells over 4000 Braves regular season tickets each year and handles post-season packages when applicable.
Baseball was not the only sport attracting enthusiasts alike to Atlanta. In 1994, the Super Bowl was held in the new Georgia Dome. In 1996, the Summer Olympics made Atlanta an official sports town and people were traveling from all over the world to share in the excitement.
In 1998, the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) contracted with Connections to form an all-encompassing ticket packaging operation with sole emphasis on marketing the exciting and entertaining city of Atlanta. Atlanta was no longer a convention city but a vacation destination!
The new joint venture with the ACVB allowed Connections to expand our ticket/hotel package inventory that now included the SEC Football Championship, the NAPA 500 NASCAR Race, and the Atlanta Thrashers Hockey season, which was added in 1999.
In 1999, Connections became a sponsor of Lakewood Amphitheater which allowed is to offer ticket packages for great concerts including Jimmy Buffet, N Sync, Lilith Fair, Dave Matthews Band and the Allman Brothers Band to name a few. Atlanta was now a sports town and a must see and hear town!
Connections now offers discount packages to such places as Stone Mountain, Six Flags and White Water. We also have packages that include shopping and spa weekends.
Connections continues to plan conventions, handling accounts as large as 100,000 attendees. Major corporations, educational institutions and associations top the list of accounts that we handle as well as the many satisfied visitors who take advantage of our affordable and attractive ticket packages. Additionally, we are approaching our third year for booking hotels, condominiums, apartments and more for long or short term stays for equestrian events nationwide.
